Fox & Ford draws its name from the journey of Père Jacques Marquette, our hotel’s namesake, who explored the Fox River with Louis Joliet. “Ford”- a place to cross a river, symbolizes both their historic path and our forward momentum.
Rooted in heritage and inspired by exploration, Fox & Ford marks a new chapter for the Pere Marquette: one that blends history with a vibrant future.
My passion for cooking started at home, growing up in an Italian family where the kitchen was the heart of everything. I was always by my Nonna and Mama’s side, watching them cook with love and tradition, that’s where my journey truly began. I’ve worked professionally in the culinary world for over 16 years, rising quickly thanks to a deep passion and a constant hunger to learn.
The kitchen is my playground, I’m not tied to one style and love to explore with joy and creativity. I don’t chase trends; I focus on flavor, comfort, and the memories food can create. Olive oil is my favorite ingredient – it’s simple, versatile, and brings everything together. What inspires me most is knowing that every dish has the power to create a moment of connection, warmth, and care. That’s the true magic of food.
